Please see attached an announcement from Croke Park in relation to Feile Peile 2020 Féile na nOg 2020.

 A chara,

Following on from the statement released on March 12th by the GAA, An Cumann Camógaíochta and Ladies Gaelic Football Association, we wanted to update you on Féile 2020. In light of the ongoing suspension of activities, the GAA, An Cumann Camógaíochta and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association have decided not to proceed with Féile in 2020 which also includes the Féile Skills Competition.

I appreciate that this might be disappointing to many of you and that there has already been a significant amount of work undertaken in so many clubs in preparation for Féile. I would also like to reassure our members that when games activity re-commences, we will provide an adequate games schedule for our players at all ages and grades.

I also appreciate that you will have a number of questions, primarily related to how this might impact on the host regions/clubs and whether much of the work that has already been completed can be salvaged for future events. This will be part of the discussions of the Féile Committee, Games Development Committee and other related groups in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, the GAA, An Cumann Camógaíochta and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association are encouraging all members to continue to exercise caution relating to social distancing and coughing and sneezing etiquette and continue to refer to HSE.ie for more detailed advice.

 Regards

 Aislinn Harkin
